K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.
An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
Manage large portfolio of major gift and annual fund prospects with the expectation to make 200+ personal visits annually.
Identify, manage, cultivate, and solicit new and current prospects for major gifts and annual leadership gifts for the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics.
Frequent travel within the state of Kansas, bordering states, and potential national travel to cultivate and solicit gifts.
Work home and some away K-State Athletics sporting events and donor events

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree at time of application
Two years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience, sales experience, or comparable experience within a college athletics department
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience, or comparable experience within a college athletics department
Experience working with and managing a portfolio of donors
Experience fundraising in NCAA Division I athletics
Other Requirements:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Must be able to travel as required
Must have a valid driver's license at all times
