K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.
An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
- Manage large portfolio of major gift and annual fund prospects with the expectation to make 200+ personal visits annually.
- Identify, manage, cultivate, and solicit new and current prospects for major gifts and annual leadership gifts for the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics.
- Frequent travel within the state of Kansas, bordering states, and potential national travel to cultivate and solicit gifts.
- Work home and some away K-State Athletics sporting events and donor events

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree at time of application
- Two years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience, sales experience, or comparable experience within a college athletics department
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of college athletics major gift fundraising experience, or comparable experience within a college athletics department
- Experience working with and managing a portfolio of donors
- Experience fundraising in NCAA Division I athletics
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must have a valid driver's license at all times
