Good morning.
St. John Fisher University has an immediate opening for Athletics Communication Coordinator. Responsibilities will include:
- Supervise and coordinate Athletics Communications work study students at all home and away intercollegiate contests.
- Supervise and schedule the Athletics Communications Staff Associates in all areas of game support, statistics gathering, reporting and storing, press release activity and all other related activities. Ensures statistics are accurately compiled and reported as required by Empire 8, NCAA, ECAC, UVC, media and opponents for all sports.
- Nurture relationships with all media outlets as to maximize the benefit to the University of all sports related activities by the Athletic Department. Prepares articles, writes and approves press releases and highlights to maximize exposure for the University.
- Contacts specific media personnel to develop feature stories on individual University athletes and teams. Approves all interviews and stories prior to submission.
- Update and maintain Fisher athletic website. Writes/approves all content.
- Plan and supervise the production of game day programs. Oversee the planning of recognition events including senior banquet, Hall of Fame, and other related events.
- Plans, develops, approves the production of sports recruiting publications, admissions athletic brochure and scheduling cards. Ensures photos are available for media submissions and publications.
- Schedules athletic contests.

Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or Business Management. Master’s preferred. Minimum 2 years athletic administration in sports information area at the collegiate level desired.
